I assume you are talking of the 1994 paper, not the 2013 paper?

This is an opinion question and requires the student to present an argument based on the information provided in the text and their own general knowledge. DG

There is a DAO Wind in the Willow 1994 paper. Are you talking about the question about do they have eveything for the journey? The paper does have the date on the front. DG

The question asks
How does the writer use language to create a particular mood in the following sentence.
They piled in more coal and the train shot into the tunnel, and the engine rushed and roared and rattled, till at last the sit out the other end into fresh air and peaceful moonlight, and saw the wood lying dark and helpful upon either side of the line.

This is the Wind in the Willows 2013 paper. Did you get this from a tutor? The reason I ask is if it does not have a date on it is likely to be a paper that has been created by a tutor, it is not an official past paper from DAO.

This paper was published this summer in a set of three that could be purchased from DAO: The Pearl 2011, The Growing Summer 2012 and this paper The Wind in the Willows 2013. All three papers are clearly labelled with the date of the paper.

If you have one that does not have the date on then it is probably not the published paper which means the actual text is guesswork not the real thing. They will have managed to get the first line and the last line correct but would not be able to verify the complete text as presented by DAO.

This is a straight forward question asking the student to comment on the way Kenneth Grahame uses language to create tension at this stage in the passage. DG
