Cloze tests and spelling
Had a discussion w daughter's tutor last night about working on some Cloze tests. When my daughter has done them before she has sometimes got the words, but mis-spelled them. She's dyslexic with excellent comprehension skills, which may explain this a little.
Does anyone know how Cloze tests are marked? Must words be spelled correctly or are they looking for the extent of vocabulary, or both?

Re: Cloze tests and spelling
This is a problem that ds2 had. He would know the word but unfortunately, couldn't spell it correctly.
My guess is that given the current style of the cloze section in the KE exam, marks are given for not only the correct word used but also, that it is spelt accurately. Hence, the use of individual boxes for each letter in the cloze test.

So some marks might be available for the vocab then? And with a dyslexia diagnosis might some slack for spelling be given? *hopeful face*
