Fables

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a particular good edition of Aesop's (or someone else's) fables? I've just done a quick search on Amazon and there's a lovely-looking Michael Morpurgo/ Emma Chichester-Clark edition, which is quite appealing, but wondered if anyone could also recommend one that might have more unusual/ less common fables, or some with some particularly good vocab?

Thank you!

Are Greek Myths any good to you Bananas? My kids have loved this book since they were about three years old, and still want to read it now.

Thanks, Menagerie. It looks like a lovely collection, so I've added that to my Amazon basket!

I also chose an Oxford World Classics version of the fables because it said that some were included that had never been translated into English before and that it was divided accorded to the fables' content and themes. I thought that that structure would help me with how I approach the stories when I read a more child-friendly edition with my DC.
