Books to build vocabulary
Have anyone used
-240 Vocabulary Words Kids Need to Know (Separate books for Grades - 4, 5,6)
-Picture These Sat Words
Looks like a fun activity for a child to learn new words...
I think these are written by US authors (for US SAT exams?)
But I guess it shouldn't matter as long as it can help building vocabulary.
Would you recommend them? Do you see any issue in using them?
I have been asking my DD to note down any new words she comes across while reading but she does it very rarely, hence looking for different ways whilst I will continue insist on building her own list.
Any other recommendations please?
