Annotating a comprehension passage
For many of the Independent exams, children are allowed to annotate the passage during the first 10 minutes but aren't allowed to write any answers down.
Children that annotate well, I believe, will be able to answer the questions more quickly.
I am trying to explain to DD, the best way to annotate.
Any ideas on how to annotate a passage - or any books that develop this technique would be much appreciated.

Is your daughter in year 4 or year 5?
