Adverb Question

Hi
find the adverb from :
28)It was quite nice playing in the snow last year
DS chose nice as it describes the action word playing
but that is not the answer

Quite....the adverb for
was, which modifies
nice. Nice is the adjective for
it I think? if nice ended in ly it would be an adveb.
E.g. We played nicely in the snow.
Very very confusing!
Horrible question though and poor English too, I may be wrong

The answer is QUITE. It is an adverb of degree/modifying adverb. Other examples are: extremely,really, very, fairly, rather etc
