As an organiser of the Reading School Spring Fayre I would like to invite the parents of all the boys who will start in September and any parents and sons who may be interested to attend our event. It will take place in the school grounds and buildings on Saturday, May 9 from 12:00 until 15:00. Although a fund raising event, please come and look at the school and find out about life there in a more informal way than is usual. You will be most welcome.

Thank you for the invitation! The school also enclosed a flyer for the Spring Fayre with the information about the new boys meeting that we are going to next week.

So it would be OK to bring along friends and their son who is in Yr 4 and interested in following my DS to Reading?

Yes. :)

It is a pay on the gate and then wander around the activities as you wish event. Very informal, I will be taking my year 4 boy as part of his brainwashing. :)

You can also go to,

Open Days 2009
Thursday 2 July, Wednesday 23 September, Thursday 24 September
4.15 - 5.30 Walk/Tour of School
5.30 - 6.30 Talk/Question and Answer session

My DS2 liked the science labs, the interesting experiments and displays. I would suggest skipping the Talk bit until year six. The more they are familiar with the school the less daunting and more exciting it becomes. :)

We'll be going as well tomorrow, it'll be our first one though. Both boys looking forward to it.

Did manage to get to today's sports day; What an excellent event the camaraderie, team spirit, enthusiasm, sheer energy and the excitement of the boys was a sight to behold. :D
