Thanks so much for the help I have been getting from this site....Great Job to the moderators!

I have another question...I wanted to know if there was any resources I could use to help my son at home. To be honest, I cant afford the tuition at the moment and want to help him as much as I can.

Thanks for the help/ advice

Sorry for the delay in answering....been away for the weekend.

There are some free downloads here

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/revisi ... wnload.php

The word lists (Tutors, Patricia) are a good base for VR. The Maths revision aids are useful.

'Slough' grammars use the NFER papers.... you can get them from any highstreet bookshop or online.... be sure to get the multiple choice packs.... not the 'standard' ones.

There are only 4 sets....so I photocopied the answer sheets to allow me to re use them.
These are best used at thye beginning to see what questions they struggle with and towards the end as they are the the exact format of the exam

The consortium only do verbal and Non verbal papers... Slough grammar does Maths as well.

You can get papers that echo the NFER format.... see link below

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/epaper ... hp?g=f&p=6

Although I have not used them the CD's have been recommended on this site.... some children frefer practising on the computer rather than sitting down with pencil and paper.

If you are unsure which ones then post again and I am sure we can find someone who has used them to let us know.
