Congratulations! stressed out mum
Re: Herschel Grammar Results
Post just came - DD not successful. Came 292nd out of 928 entries at Herschel with standardised score of 106. Fortunately it doesn't matter - as she passed the Bucks exam - and we live in Bucks so will get a Grammar school place there. She didn't think she had passed on the day - I think we took our foot off the pedal too much after finishing the Bucks process - also not enough Non Verbal practice!
Good luck to all those still waiting - and relying on this one!

Hi All,
Congratulations to Stressed Out Mum!
We got our results, but just like last time, I'm really not sure what it means. Unlike ds1's letter, this one DID NOT start with 'I am very pleased to tell you that ds1 has passed...'
He scored 115.
I have a feeling he didnt pass?

Hi Jaysdarlin,
I think that is a respectable score and considered a pass. The consortium pass mark is 111. Well done to you and to your dear son.

He has passed!
Pass mark is 111 - but if you look at old allocations for places not everyone who passes gets a place because it is done working down from the top, and then with some on distance also. But I have a feeling you should be OK with 115 - though it may also depend how close to the school you are. I am sure the old levels and distances people got places with are on here somewhere.

Re: Herschel Grammar Results
... and does Langley offer places according to distance? I thought that was only Herschel?
Re: Herschel Grammar Results
Don't know about Langley! This was on a Herschel thread ..... so I just assumed! Sorry if have confused matters!
