does anyone know previous pass rate?

Unfortunately not alot of regular posters know much about Kendrick, other than what's posted on their web site.

The only thing I know from a friend, who's daughter got in last year, was that she was getting over 80% in the DIY tuition they did, with the NFER shop bought tests.

I'm afraid 80% is rather vague, but I didn't delve into it too far.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along to advise.

Are you awaiting results, or setting out on this roller coaster ride?

Can any parent whose daughter has appeared for kendrick exam last year or previously be kind enough to share some experience with us?

thanks for info, i am awaiting results, daughter sat it nov 06, she found the exam okay, but now the results are due she is really freaking out, she is limited by only have 1 grammar down being Kendrick and if she doesnt get in shes insisting she be sent to a grammar, although i keep trying to explain that at a good comp. she will be top of the class!, did not realise how stressed she was about it all, i wondered if there would be any other grammars i could try on appeal or something? she was getting consisting 80+ in practice papers so she has a good chance - i hope?

My daughter sat for Kendrick on the wettest day of 2006 and we are waiting like everybody else for March 1 or 2 or 3rd depending on the post.
My daughter is very emotional and has each month has passed by has become less and less confident about her performance- we had a 'lets not talk about it anymore' pact as what will be will be but she can't stick to it and has been calculating her probability of a pass given that we heard about 600 girls sat the exam and the ones we saw all looked bright, charming and confident.
The thing is - I feel so worried about the outcome for her confidence, if she fails will she always feel a pang which wouldn't have been there otherwise.All her life she has been very successful at school, what do I say if she finds out she isn't as bright as she thought ?.School are no help, headteacher believes in comprehensive model and isn't interested. I just go over and over the ways to position a fail in her mind - she is insisting that she opens the letter abd we have agreed.
Have booked local Chinese for next Saturday pass or fail......

i know exactly how you feel, my daughter also sat in 06, and the last two weeks have become horrendously nerve wrecking i am not so much worried about the outcome i am just worried for her and how i will tell her if she doesnt get through, sometimes its not the parents who push, my daugher really wants it herself she did all the pushing asking me to get her extra tuition for the papers etc., i think she should have got through but think the kendrick entry is really harsh, i mean she could get 90 and still not get in!. I am exactly in the same position and remember Novemeber 6th as not only the wettest day but also had to fight my way through the traffic to get my daughter in time for her test. It was very unsettling for her.

Well as each day passes by and gets closer to the result day, my daughter does get very anxious and her confidence goes down. This happens when she starts to brood over the past and it does worry me.
Fortunately, her class have been very involved in key stage 2 preparation doing past test papers in class and given homework. This has kept her very busy and temporary taken her mind off the eleven plus results.

Mum10, sorry to hear your disappointment.
Is your daughter reasonably high up on the waiting list? many children get a place with subsequent rounds of allocation.

I know exactly how you feel. But I'm sure being in the waiting list is still hopefull You should be strong enough to give your daughter full support about her success. I feel she has done a fantastic job...............
