To All,

Kindly give me an answer to the following question.

My daughter had 11 plus exam in Kendrick School Reading 2011. If she will get above 90% in VR and NVR will she get admission, even if she is the outside the catchment area which is GU34 :?:

This is from Kendrick's admission policy

Oversubscription Criteria
Oversubscription criteria will be applied if there are more applicants than the 96 places available. All applicants will be
ranked according to performance in the tests. This ranked list will be passed to Reading LA. Reading LA will pass on the
offers to the appropriate home LA or to the parents/carers if Reading is the home LA.
A maximum of 96 offers will be made from the ranked list on or above the cut-off point (109.0). This is provided:
- the home LA has received a common application form;
- Kendrick School has been named on the form;
- Kendrick School has been named as first preference
OR
if Kendrick has not been named as first preference, that there is not an available
place at a higher preference school.
The ranked list of the remaining applicants above the cut-off point will be used to offer further places if any original
offers are declined either by the LA because a place is offered at the parents/carers higher preference school or by the
parents/carers themselves. This will be called the waiting list.

So it looks as if there isn't a catchment area for Kendrick for 2012 entry. Admission is on ranking according to performance.
There does seem to be a catchment area put forward for 2013 entry.....maybe someone with a bit more knowledge of these schools can help?

Unfortunately can not guess at what score you would need to get..... just that you need to come in the top 96.

The designated area is new for 2013 so you wouldn't be affected by that. Whether your DD gets a place totally depends on the other girls in the cohort she tested with. Good luck - we are testing this year
