Can anyone help? There's a slight possibility that we may be allowed to sit (somewhat belatedly) the slough consortium 11+ papers. Can anyone let me know the format of the VR and NVR texts (ie number of question in how much time) and which papers are best for practice. We have just 10 days to prepare :? . Yikes!

Thanks TraffordMum.
Am I right in assuming the VR paper is 80 questions in 50 minutes (or is it 85)? Also with so little time, does anyone have any tips on what best to focus on?
Many thanks.

Format of the 11+ test
The Consortium 11+ test consists of two separate multiple choice papers.
a) Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR)
80 questions in 40 minutes - four sets of 20 questions each lasting 10 mins (an average of
30 secs each question)
There is a worked example and 2 or 3 practice questions before each section of 10 minutes
and an opportunity for the pupils to ask questions for clarification. There are no time
warnings during each section. The whole paper takes about 50 minutes.
b) Verbal Reasoning (VR)
80 questions in 50 mins. This is challenging, and is common for pupils to run out of time and
not finish all the questions. Time warnings are given at 25 and 45 minutes.
ALL questions on both papers are multiple choice. Pupils indicate their answers on an answer
sheet. Rough paper is provided.
