Late Transfer Testing in Berks
Are there any schools within Berks that manage their own late transfer testing for entry into year 9 (in Sept 2013).
I know that Bucks have several GS that manage their own testing, and I have heard that this will apply to most academy schools - this is for admission from Sep 2013.

Re: Late Transfer Testing in Berks
Both Reading School and Kendrick are Academies.
Perhaps, best way is to contact them directly and ask how they handle Late transfer testing.
I know they accept students into yr9. They do have to sit yr9 entry tests. But not sure who deals with the paperwork, them or the council.

Re: Late Transfer Testing in Berks
I contacted Kendrick and they do have their own testing, but will only test if a girl left which is usually rare.
If a child has sat the 11+ and did not achieve the passmark then the GS in Slough will not be able to offer a re-test, but I have heard or unless its just rumour that the admissions will be managed by the school and not the council, but not sure when this is going to change. Does anyone know, or heard of this yet?
