Any Kendrick hopefuls taking other OOC tests?

Its probably a bit late now for Dd but I was talking to another parent who'd mentioned last year their Dd had been along to real tests at other schools out of county for practise.
Is this common practice amongst those in the know or is not worth it, considering Kendrick is standard format and most other schools opt for multiple-choice?

) but the use of standard format rather than MC would seriously limit the choices of alternatives I would have thought.
