I woke up this morning expecting an email about the school offer as we applied online. As there was no email, I decided to log onto the SBC website. We got our first offer so are very pleased. Emails should come through later on in the day but if not, don't panic, just log onto the council's website. The deadline to accept or change your response to accept or decline an offer is two weeks today Friday 15 March.

Good luck everyone.

My DS got 115 for the slough exam, but we have had no email to confirm what school has been offered. We live in Slough and are in the catchment are for almost all the schools we put down.

When I log in online all 6 of our school choices say not offered, even the non grammar schools....is this possible.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Worriedmum 123

welcome!

sorry that you haven't got news yet. Sounds like something not quite right ... which borough do you live in and which schools did you put??

Thanks for the welcome

We live in slough (wexham area)....schools in order of preference are
Herschel
Slough GS
St Bernards
Burnham
Langley GS
Baylis Court

The message says "Your child has been offered a place at . " but no school name given and all the schools have "not offered" next to them.

Looks like some technical hitch. You would need to speak to Slough admissions.

Last year, if I remember correctly, Ealing had messed up with the admission files.

yes TB - it was Ealing - just wondering if similar has happened??

Also trying to work out if there is some way in which WM123 has in fact missed out at each school - some of the historical cutoffs for the schools were higher? and also there are other requirements at some schools ...

.. any thoughts? I am ploughing through old posts to find out but suspect WM123 might get some more info if she rings

Hi there Worriedmum - I'm in the same boat...no email, so logged in to see the cheery message saying DC been offered place at school . (Dot!?) at least this amused DC! We expected not to get our first choice, but we don't seem to be able to access the offer status for any of our other schools, for which DC has passed eleven pluses :? I have tried calling Slough LEA, but a voice message says they are closed due to an 'evacuation'. I knew this was going to be stressful....am now trying to see the black comedy!

thanks Poppet3 - sounds like there are more people affected and now the staff at the LEA have run off screaming!! seriously though - hope they are alright there

Suspect some patience until later in the day is needed....

Good Luck
