Hi,

I really should know this, being so close to the test date.

Do the girls get an unbroken hour to complete the tests or is the hour broken down into sections, where they are told to move on after each section?

I can't remember what I previously heard about this.

The NVR test is done in sections. The VR is a straight through 100 questions test.

VR is 50 mins straight through.
NVR is 5 separate timed sections. There are untimed practise questions for each section. Time for each section is dependent on the number of questions but will be 30sec/question.

My DD remembers 5.

Regardless of whether its 4 or 5, it's in timed sections.

Is there any gap time between VR and NVR?

Time to go to the loo, have a snack and play hangman with the sixth formers.

DD can't remember how much time exactly.

...and which way round is it? I am hoping VR comes first, as that is such a slog, and then the easier shorter sections of NVR. If it's the other way round, I think my DD will be howling by the end of the 2nd test!
