Early entry to Kendrick

Has anyone every tried for early entry to Kendrick and if so, how did you go about it? I see on the Kendrick website that they will take, in exceptional circumstances, a child a year younger. Please can this not turn into a debate about early entry/skipping a year!

My other question is, if a child has had an IQ test, what sort of score percentile would correlate with a place at Kendrick?

Many thanks.

The thought had crossed our minds. I have an exceptionally bright 9 year right on my doorstep but her current school (also exceptional!) strongly discouraged it. Hence we let the moment pass, however with consistently high scoring VR/NVR at beginning of Year 5 and continuous recognition outside of school, we surely would have had a strong case.

Instead, we look forward to October 2014 :)

The child has to be in year 6 or doing all year 6 work. You can't jump from year 5 to year 7. And you can't have another go the next year.
