Mock exam

Post by 11+ crazy »

Hi

Could someone please shed some light on CEM mock exams (Bucks, Berks), QE Barnett mock exam, and Tiffin Boys mock exam? Is there any particular company or website we need to register with for these mock exams? What is the best time to appear for mock exams?

Many thanks,

For QE boys I would recommend starting doing mocks now so you can get a clear idea how far away you are from the type of mark you need to win a place. Make sure you sign up for the Sutton mocks as soon as they open for applicants. Sign up for both sessions as far apart as possible so you will have time to try and get a better mark in the second session. DG

Where do you live? These schools are not a stone's throw from one another? May I suggest you choose some schools in one or at the most two adjacent areas and concentrate on the exam for that area, after looking at the admissions criteria and catchment. Your child will not thank you for making him/her sit exams for a school he cannot even get a place in.

Also bear in mind the changes to admissions criteria mean for some of these schools you will need to be in catchment BEFORE you take the test to count as being in catchment.
