Hi! My twin DDs have recently been offered a place in Kendrick School. So happy! So I just wanted to know the subjects and the activities they do in Kendrick. How's the food like? How do you order school uniform? Any useful information please write below. Thank you :D

Year 7 subjects, maths, English, science, history, geography, either French or German (depends on which class you are in) RS, art, music, food tech, product design, textiles, ICT, PhSE, PE, drama and citizenship. Think that's it.

All sorts of clubs, sports, music, chicken run  , book club. It varies every year.

School dinners are apparently nice, but the queue for them is long, you need to get in quick. There's also baguettes, pasta, jacket potatoes and the queues for these are shorter. They can buy sandwiches, pasta etc at first break if they have a lunch club. They also do a small breakfast menu now.

School jumpers are bought from school. You will be able to pre order jumpers using the parent pay system (you will get details for this beforehand) to pick up on the new parents evening. White open necked shirts, grey skirt, black trousers you get get elsewhere. I found John Lewis the best for shirts.
Note, the dye in the school jumpers does run the first few times they are washed. I didn't but some parents apparently washed white shirts with red jumpers and you could tell.

PE top and skort from hawkinsport in Bourne End (but you can order online). Other PE kit can be bought from anywhere as it's generic, or optional (PE sweatshirt and tracksuit bottoms, again from hawkinsport). I think you used to be able to wear any black tracky bottoms, but they are obviously clamping down on this as DD was told no.

Of you look at the school website you will be able to look at the prospectus which has lots of info in, there's also a school uniform list too.
A couple of things hidden away are the need for a specific paintbrush and a B pencil.

The current year 7s are the first year to be provided padlocks for the lockers. They keep this padlock throughout their time at Kendrick. The form teachers have a master key of they forget.
