Out of interest do children out of catchment with fab scores get offered a place before children within catchment? Many thanks...

Whatever the admissions / oversubscription criteria are for the school concerned must be published on its website and in the LA's information booklet. Position on the waiting list would depend on the same criteria.

I'm in Southend so no personal knowledge, but the same applies to all state schools so if you look at either the school's or the council's site there should be clear info as to how places are allocated.

No - in catchment with qualifying scores get their places first. Only if there are no further qualified girls within catchment would they look to out of catchment girls.
