Hi

Yes my son said the same. VR fine NVR fine Maths so-so.

But overall he thinks he did well.

I'm just relived it's all over !!!!! :D

Good luck to everyone who still needs to take it.

hi reena and suesola
Sounds like your children did very well, but what do you mean that the maths was "different" Was it the questions asked or was it something to do with the format?

Hmmm.....I'm worried now.....as maths is not my sons favourite subject.

Hi
The maths questions were not like the ones in the NFER papers some were very different but she manage to tackle them. I think they were at the same level of difficulty.

Hi,

My daughter sat for the langley exam today. While practising at home she never had problem with speed, infact she always used to finish 10/15 mins before the given time. today she said she could not even attempt the last 5 questions in non-verbal section 1 and last 2 in section 2. verbal she did well and 10 mins before time, same for maths, she did well and managed to revise. Non verbal 40 ques in 20 mins, after reading the instruction etc, not even left with 30 secs for 1 question. I'm worried :( , has she been slow at real test or it happened with others as well??

My son sat his at Langley too today. He managed to finish all the tests with time to spare. He said that the non verbal was tricky and guessed the last one in section one and in section 2 he realised he'd made a mistake but just as he was about to amend it the teacher asked them to put their pencils down? he found maths the hardest. So I guess it's individual.

My daughter wrote the exam today and I agree with the feedback of one of the parent which said about the timings. My daughter too said that the Non Verbal was a bit tricky and she just managed to finish it whereas in practice she always had 15-20 mins to spare. She did find the VR very easy and maths was allright.

The feedback I received from my children was that the VR and Maths was easy but the NVR was more challenging than the NFER papers they had been completing.
Well done to all the brave children and parents that have gone through all the hard work.

Seems to be a consensus on todays Langley test.
My son also found the NVR test the most challenging out of the three. VR apparently easy with lots of time to go back over and check. Maths was OK too with about 10mins left for checking.

I must say I was surprised at how poorly managed the start of the day was, by the school. Especially as this is a yearly event for them.

Good Luck to all,

BW
