I think its safe to assume that last year, Herschel places were offered for all people who scored 112 or more. Langley offered places for all people who scored more than 117, and some people who scored 116.

Please correct me of I am wrong.

I don't think you can assume all scores of 112 received an offer from HG... there may have been some that lost out on 'distance'.

Right, Chad, thanks.

Would 113 be a safer score to assume?

I'd imagine, It's going to be slightly different this year, due to the maths no longer being a part of the test. Scoring may be lower or higher so they may adjust allocations down or up.

Just a thought.

chad wrote: I have trawled thru some/many of the posts on the berkshire forum and have collated the following details..... this is not an exact science but only from the parents who were on the waiting list who came back and told us their outcomes..

Langley....

2004 entry 115
2005 entry 116 and some 115
2006 entry 116
2007 entry ....havent found out yet!!!!!

Herschel 2007 entry
1st offer (2nd March)113 with some 112 and all 111's on waiting list

will edit the post if I can find out any more,

Now Slough Grammar is not part of the consortium they may have more offers outstanding where parents are on the waiting list for a preferred school.

Taken from last year's following post:
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... php?t=6188

Going by the above posts - is it therefore safe to assume that Last year, Slough Grammar offered places to most 111 scores and over?

Hi I am new to the forum, but have since last 6 months been reading reviews. They have been very helpful, thank you.

A child with less than 114 doesn't seem to stand a chance of getting place for Herschel, am I right?

Just copied txt from thread:-

Last year any child scoring 120 and above was offered a place at LG and 114 and above for HG, in the first round.

It seems there are more children this year who have sat the test and passed.
I wonder what the score for Herschel will be this year 114 same as last yr? :x

It will most probably be about the same cut off for first round offers.
LG 120
HG 114
SG 113

Herschel may be slightly higher as it seems to be becoming more popular.

I think last year the last info we were given was..

LG 116 (some 115)
HG 113 (some 112)
SG 112 (some 111)

this is only by memory.... if I come across anything diff or someone else can correct me then I will edit the post.
