Proposed King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy

Has anybody read about this idea of the Foundation taking on Sheldon Heath Community Art College and turning it into an Academy? What is the logic for the Foundation doing this? Purely altruistic? Do you think it will change the long term focus of the Foundation, or affect any of the existing Founfation schools?

This has been under discussion for some time. The proposal documents are here:

Given that the foundation was presumably (as for many grammar schools) established to provide high quality free education for the local children who could not afford the fees at the traditional public schools, this seems entirely in keeping with those original objectives, and I'm sure they wouldn't proceed if it could jeopardise the existing schools.

And should the Charity Commission resurrect their public interest witch hunt, it provides a fairly unassailable case.
