Hi, I have just started trying to do some missing word passages with DD. Can anyone advise if they are likely to be first and last letters given only and no multiple choice (she is finding these impossible) or whether they are likely to give more letters or multiple choice.

Many thanks

I think the expectation is that this year the B'ham format will be (as it has been in the last two years) consecutive letters missing from selected words in a short passage, as in the example on the second page here:

(By the way, folks, this is a new sample sheet for this year - some old favourites like the ludicrously easy synonyms, a couple of different maths Qs).

Thanks Mike, that is really useful. If only the actual exam turns out to be that easy!

Your answers are so helpful.

Good luck to you for November.
