Hi

Can someone explain how the audio tape is used in the KEGS exam?
It obviously seems that each paper is split into 3 sections ('VR'/NVR/Maths) but during the exam itself does the tape state that you have, say, 10 minutes on Comprehension &, after 10 mins., only then can you move onto the next section and then the tape would say you have, for e.g., 15 mins. on the Maths & so on? Is this how it works? Or are there no interruptions from the tape during each of the 2 papers?

I'm only asking because I don't think anyone has really mentioned the audio tape on this forum before as far as I can tell!

And no parents basing their appeal on the grounds that their children weren't given the correct instructions. Surely that's the point - everybody hears exactly the same thing.

In Warks the tape or CD seems to work as you suggest, sss - my younger girl who took the test today hasn't mentioned it, but I remember the older girl describing a moment 2 years ago when the rather loud, disembodied voice yelled towards the end of the first section that there was one minute to go and everyone in the hall jumped simultaneously. I'd told her to listen carefully in case the recording was a bit quiet, but it didn't seem to be an issue...
