school preferences now results are out
QM have said if we put it first choice dd will get a place -she passed this. But KE Handsworth is much nearer but not sure how many girls have done better than my dd and this was going to be first choice. She has got above last years qualifying score.
Any advice on whether schools (QM) put lower down on the CAF form will jeopardise her place would be much appreciated.

The usual understanding of the CAF is that you want to KEH then you should put that first and then can put QM second - if she does not get a place at KEH then your first choice is disregarded and QM would become your first choice.
I expect QM say to put them first assuming you want to go there rather than anywhere else - sometimes people put a local non selective school first as they want to be sure that they will get a place there if no other places are forthcoming but then miss out on the GS places they would have been eligible for
