After receiving two bad results, I have received my sons test results for the Birmingham Consortium and he has achieved a total score of 196, is this a safe result? I understand that the min score required for 2012 was 212 @ BV, 216 @ KEA, 234 @ KECHB and 225 @ KEFW.

Nick.

As no-one else has replied, I should explain that a score of 196 is unfortunately not high enough to admit a child into any of the consortium Grammars, even from a waiting list.
Best wishes for the future for you and your dc, GSN.
