Unfortunately, 212 is too low for KECHB , FW and possibly KEA as last year's qs for kea was 216.

I understand BV score for last year was 212 but the year before that it was 215.

I suggest that you still put KEA and BV down (you have nothing to lose) but also, put down some local schools as a fallback.
Best of luck. :)

To DIYmum,in your experience how much do you think the cut off will go up this time.If it remains the same as the previous year ,then ds would get in FW with ease. But if it goes up by 7 or 8 marks hes going to be on the border. Will it ever go up so much??

Priya,

You have absolutely nothing to worry about with regards to FW.

Priya01, the thing with the new system is that it's very unpredictable. With more information, dps have more power :) and no one can predict what their choices will be. :!:

It's a tough one for dps after CHB, FW and CHG.
To be honest, with your score, I think you'll be okay for FW. :)
Best wishes.

Hello MSD
THanks for coming to the rescue. But I read in the other post that a score of 239 would not be enough to get into BV.That worried me.But thanks to you.

Yes, sorry, that's what I mean by the 'new system'.

There was a poll somewhere about the advs and disadv of it...I think I shall reserve judgement until March 1st. :|

The 239 not being enough for BV totally spooked me too!

Surely the examiners who standardised the papers have had some control over this to ensure that the thresholds wont "sky rocket " to such an extent, otherwise this whole exercise of informed choice was totally pointless?
