ADDITIONAL PLACES AT KEY STAGE 4 AVAILABLE AT BISHOP VESEY'S GRAMMAR SCHOOL
TO STUDY IN YEAR 10 FROM SEPTEMBER 2013
We have 5 places available to study in Year 10 from September 2013. These will be offered to students who satisfy the relevant entry criteria.
Applications open Monday February 25th.
Applications close Sunday March 31st.
Wednesday May 8th: Entrance test day. Applicants will be tested for entry to Key Stage 4 in English, Maths, Science and French or German or Spanish. Applicants for places will be asked to nominate in which foreign language they would prefer to be tested.
Friday May 24th: Results of entrance test published
Tests will be based on the courses commonly followed in KS3 and candidates will be required to achieve a 'minimum expected level', relevant to the time of application, in each subject, thereby reaching a 'qualifying score' for a place to be offered. The top five candidates in order of marks who have achieved the minimum expected level will be admitted to the School at Year 10. Where there are two or more qualifying candidates for a vacancy on the same score, the vacancy will be filled in accordance with the Governors’ Admissions Policy for entry at Year 7.
Places will be offered, subject to compatibility with, and availability of intended option choices within the curriculum of BVGS.
