Waiting lists

Hello all. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how many from the waiting lists are usually offered places? Perhaps someone who had been through the system via the waiting list might be able to help. I realise that there is no definitive answer as many factors come into play but past experiences might provide some sort of gauge. I'm asking on behalf of someone whose ds has a score which is 3 points below the cut-off for BVs.

Hi Amarstone,

If you look at this post http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 11&t=30969 someone who scored 216 (i.e. 1 below cutoff) is 13th on the waiting list. I don't think the cutoff normally drops by more than a point in the end. However BV apparently don't make initial offers over PAN so probably more movement than at other schools. I'm sorry to say that I wouldn't be too hopeful though. They can phone admissions or the school to find out where they are on the list.
