For all DPs, you have done all that you can, your DC will do the best that they can, there is no fail as they will have gained a lot from the 11+ journey, be positive and avoid stressing.....if you are calm and relaxed then your children will be calmer and it help in the exam too.

My 11+ journey will come to an end when DD1 takes her exam tomorrow. It's been an experience over the last 5 years or so. It will be a sad moment though.....

It's the end of an era for me too. I'll quite miss the special closeness we've gained when working through things together.

I'm so proud of my DD who has matured so much these past few months, and I know the skills she has learnt (time management, keeping calm, READING the question properly etc) will see her through many things in life, they are not things merely learned for an exam.

So for this evening.... DD's favourite pizza bought, DVD chosen, and wine (for me) chilling!

Let's hope the DC all sleep well tonight and wake up ready for the challenge tomorrow.

Good luck to all, it's been three years since our last exam outing for 11+. In those days we waited nearly 6 months for the result

I'm up having a quiet cup of tea before my family get moving - knowing exactly that keeping calm and ensuring a good breakfast is my job today!

I have no idea what the outcome of all of this will be for my little fish - but I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Oddly enough it's been the working out the wrong answers that I've enjoyed the most.

Good luck to all from me too. It is quite a roller coaster but I have to admit I look back at the time now fondly as a time when I was able to watch them blossom ( ok, and relief that it is over too )

Ah the wait....hope all our little darlings are ok. It's so true, it doesn't matter about the end result of today in the long term.. We will be celebrating the end of an era tonight!

Ironically, had to be really calm today. DD has caught a bug from yesterday and has been in and out of the toilet last night and this morning, with mild stomach cramp. Called up the KE Foundation office and they advised that the re-sit would be on Monday 16th September. I wanted her not to go through with the exam but she assured me that she would be fine and that she did not want to prolong it anymore, so with a bit of anxiety, I admired her courage and let her carry on - fingers crossed that she is fine throughout the 2 hours. It was a difficult choice and now it is in the lap of the Gods.

Dropped her off late this morning at SCGSG but still on time and she had a smile on her face before she departed so that helped. There was no queue and parking was straightforward, which was a relief - at least OldTrout's 'Parking Gods' did smile on us today.

UmSusu, going 'cold turkey' probably will not last; there are a few parents asking for personal tutoring and my sister-in-law would like assistance in 2 or 3 year’s time with her DD, so I may not close this chapter ..... yet. Hope your boys are happy at their schools and DS2 has settled in well at KES.

Thank you for your thoughts Elbart - they are both excited and happy to be at school ( mainly because the holidays were so dull!). DS2 loves KES and I can't quite believe how the scruffiest kid ever can look so smart . Hope your DD does well and the tutoring works out well.

It is nearly over for you all now.
