They send them out to all boys registered for the Birmingham Consortium. Given ds2 poor performance in the consortium exam, this has now become a higher priority this time round.

They also send out letters to anyone who went to the open day and filled out a form with contact details.

A mum I know mentioned that she was surprised at having received the letter from KES today, as she'd not attended their open day.
Funnily enough I've had no letter from KEHS so would assume that they don't go in for as much publicity.

Hi Guys,
Am new to this forum but have been browsing a lot. All the info has been very helpful, thank you.
I received a letter too, do they send it out to the DC who scored less in the consortium?

I am not sure they can pass on candidates data in that way. I think they they send out the applications to anyone who has registered an interest in the school either on open days or by requesting a prospectus.

Well I haven't registered ds2 or attended an open day, so they must get the information from the consortium.

I think you are right Happy dad, as I didn't register ds1 or go to the open day.
