After looking at the above i've noticed that there isn't any jumbled sentences where you omit one word :?: Does this mean the Queen Marys exam will not be putting jumbled sentences in the exam this year :?: because i am assuming that a familiarisation paper is there so parents can and our Dc can become familiar with the type of questions which appear on the real exam and tbh i don't want to be giving my Ds loads and loads of jumbled sentences if there not going to turn up on the exam?
Has any1 had experience of something turning up on an exam and it wasn't on the familiarisaton paper :?: :)

I don't know if it is any help but this is a link to the new Gloucestershire CEM test info and it suggests the types of questions are not definitive.

My experience of CEM (gone through it successfully, twice) is that a) the familiarisation papers are terribly basic and simple and dont cover everything in the paper and b) you need to expect the unexpected because they want to see that our child can cope with anything. You can't tutor them for it all just get them used to tackling anything.

Thanks DC17C for that familiarisation paper i think i'm getting the point now and it seems nearly all of these fam...papers are very similar.

Kenyancowgirl thats really useful to know i'll bear that in mind i'm afraid i'm a newbie so have much to learn  yes i did think the fam... paper looked rather simple and thought what is all the fuss about  but i'm beginning to realise that it will be much more difficult ...thanks :)

The first time we saw the jumbled up sentences myself and DS we  but after a while they were our favourites! I'm not sure if they were on the Walsall test as DS refuses to mention the tests after they are finished. But I think when the offers are out the breakdown of what was on it & B'ham test will be put on here to help your preparation.
