Hello there,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the last score off the waiting list for CHG was in 2013? Also, does anyone know why the cut-off scores were so much higher that year?

My dd has a borderline score of 226 and I suppose I am just trying to work out the odds! I know she would have secured a place ( just! ) in 2012 or 2014 but I'm not sure about 2013.

I have phoned the consortium office but whilst someone was able to tell me the last score in in 2014, the information for 2013 wasn't to hand. I know I just have to wait until March really, but I can't seen to stop myself speculating!

The last-score in to CHG for the 2013 cohort (started Yr 7 in 2013) was 229 at the beginning of March.
I believe but do not have written evidence, that girls on 227 eventually were offered a place in that year group, before September.

The 2014 score, as you know, was lower at 226 in March, most likely because of the additional available places.
A poster has said that a child on 218 was offered CHG this year before September, which is a big drop, but I do not have this as written evidence.

Thanks Um. That's really helpful. It looks like it could go either way. It does seem as if the scores have gone up by a couple of points over the last couple of years as the cut off for 2014 is a point higher than 2012 and that is with the thirty extra places. It looks like she might just miss it. My eldest dd has just completed some kind of complicated percentage based sum to try and calculate the odds but I think we will just have to stop thinking about it and wait until March!

A friends daughter scored 218 and was offered Camp Hill Girls from the waiting list for 2014 entry.

Is anyone prepared to speculate as to what this years score will be, or are there just too many new factors such as PP allocations and increased numbers at play. Is the view that it will be about 229, the same as 2013??

My daughter started CHG in 2013 and she thinks she remembers a girl in her year saying she got in with 222.

This would seem in line with 218 getting in last year.

I would stress there is uncertainty here!

I'm hoping it is true as 'current' daughter got 228 and is hoping to join her sister.

CHG score last March was 226. It went down a surprising 8 to 218 off the waiting list. FW went down 4 off the waiting list from 224 to 220, so you cannot predict waiting list movement.

Last years 226, for various reasons, is likely to rise to between 226 and 230. In 2013 it was 229 after all. After that is really is into the unknown with waiting lists. All anyone can do is wait and see.
