Handsworth grammer school

Not much is mentioned on this forum about HGS. Just wanted to know what others opinion was of the school and why it isn't as popular as the other grammer schools.

The boys I know who attend Handsworth Grammar at present, are all very happy with it.

A few years ago, I don't think it was as well run and it acquired a not-so-great reputation.

But under new leadership, it seems to provide a very supportive and cohesive environment for the boys there.
