Hi all, I am hoping to send my son to Camphill boys. I have decided to tutor him at home - I would really appreciate some help in choosing the correct materials/books for him as I've never done this before. I have come across the Bond books - are these any good? Thank you for your help! :)

I used the Bond books when DD1 took the test 4 years ago. She didn't do much practise but came out of the exam and said the books were a waste of time as the exam was nothing like them. She got a place at Scgsg.Don't know her score as they didn't tell you back then. When looking for books for DD2, DD1 picked the CGP books as said they were more like the test she had done, and also like tests they had done at school after she started. DD2 started practising over the summer hols last year, she got 213 and has just got a place off the wait list. She felt the CGP books had been good but could have done with more Cloze practice as there was a big section in last year's test that she struggled with. I don't have experience of any other books as those were all I bought. Good luck.

We did bond books, but found that after doing the K**L daily tests, our ds' really made some progress.
