Nice to have you back Zulky.
Any reason why you think there'll be a big drop?

Personally speaking I think last years cut offs including the waiting list cut offs provide useful guidance and I would not base any decisions on an expectation of a big drop in cut off offers. This would be against the backdrop of the increase in numbers taking the exam. There can in any year be small movements up or down.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

I don't see any reasons for the cut-off to drop, because that's not how the standardisation process works. If the number taking the test increased as compared to last year, the cut-off score will proportionally increase. But other that it should remain pretty much the same.

The only other reason they might go down would be if the scorers in the top bracket ignored grammar place in favour of independent, and more so as compared to the trend in previous years.

Also likely to drop if a large proportion of the offers to eg Camp Hill were to people living elsewhere who took the exam for practice.

Good to know this Zulki it will give relief to some parents.
I will not put you in uncomfortable situation by asking how do you know but ask if it is your guess or educated guess based on something you know (like average score etc)

Agreed TM, but only if they had placed CHB/CHG on the CAF form and qualified for it based on the score. But subsequently deciding not to take the place, due to either attending independent or moving to another area, then the cut-off will go down and someone will be picked from waiting list. And this also is based on how many offers they made above PAN.

Cool - No one really knows what the cut-offs will be. It's all based on what goes on the CAF form from 5300 parents you have and their child's scores. We can only go by the previous trend and say they will be similar or slightly higher as more children took the test.
