Go out, buy Christmas presents, buy baubles, see friends, watch a movie.
"Que sera, sera" - you just have to make the time pass as painlessly as possible.
I think I might take your tip on board. Now you have given me a dilemma, should I see 'Borat' again or see the action man in 'Casino Royale'. Friday is my day off anyway.
Thanks for the tip.

FWIW , IMHO, BORAT worth an immediate second viewing, fantastically funny, but bit on a one joke film - the CR might be better for this purpose as whenever i come out of a JB film I feel I can conquer the world! ( Or better still, why not book CR for the whole family after school so whatever the result you ca all share the escapism......)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Whatever you do, Worried - just do it, and enjoy yourself! Especially on Friday, if it's your day off - it would be a terrible thing to spend it sitting staring at the envelope.
If you see Borat again, see it for me! I think the C ... Royale word has been blanked because of previous spam links that have been posted on the site.
Friday really will come round faster (and be over faster as well) if you're doing something else!
Just make a point of coming back here sometime afterwards and telling us how you all got on.
Best wishes

I have made use of the tips listed in this section.. I have planned a busy day for Friday to hopefully make it go quicker. We shall get our result after the 'after school club' so will get it about 4.30pm. I have booked a table in a local restaurant (something we don't usually do as we can't afford it) and have told my 11+ son and other children that it's a 'well done for working so hard whatever the result' celebration. I know he and I will cry if he 'hasn't been successful' (don't like the f- word and I don't mean the one chef Ramsey uses!) But we'll cope and I'm already thinking up my coping strategy in case that all-important final number is not 121 or higher.
It's good to know I'm not alone!

Hello All,
We are out of catchment, and so get our results in morning post. If the letter does not come, are we then aloud to ask the head teacher , seeing as they already know the results, whether our child has passed or not, or do we have to wait and see if it comes in the post on Saturday and then Monday?.
I have no nails left, and Im considering whether to start on the toes!!
Goodluck all!

Hallo everyone!
You all sound so madly happy/happily mad - it makes me smile to read all of your comments! Whatever the result, whenever it arrives, we can be assured we all tried our best. Personally for me, it was always going to be a bit of a long shot as we live abroad and the only help was this forum.... and a few books I bought from it to practise. I will be very surprised if my son has passed, but obviously if he has, delighted. He does not know the results are out this week (once he had sat, it all went out of his mind), so maybe that is a good thing for me.
Now, we are 7 hours behind you, so if I was really S A D, I could wake up at 0200 my time and log on as supposedly my results are going to be emailed to me (only because I am over in America, no one else)........but I have a horrible feeling I have been overlooked and they are going to be posted and it is Thanksgiving and the whole nation is at a standstill and I will be the last to know.............. USA

Well at least you will have all the thanksgiving turkey and trimmings to take your mind off it! Seriously though, I hope you are not overlooked and someone 'in charge' remembers to send you that email. They won't be busy (surely) as all the results are done and sent out so the hard bit is over for them... until all the appeal requests come flooding in of course
