I am loving the school's poem, just brilliant
I have looked on our CC's website and no detail's of school closure's have been added, although I don't think we were expecting to be hit as hard as we have! Earlier on it was just light snow and now we have joined alot of you into the red zone
kids are going to have great fun but doubt we will be moving on Sat

Sally Anne, you beat me to it! I was just about to post this.Sally-Anne wrote:An early poetic contribution from a Bucks school:

'Yipee, yep, the school is closed!
No doubt there will be whoops of joy at any closures this week, not so those of us who have children sitting exam modules next week as we've been told we have to foot the bill for the resits if they can't make it into school, even if the school is officially closed and there is no transport. Anyone else think this is a bit harsh?

That's outrageous, I'm quite worried too as we have modules next week, surely though the snow will have gone by then? My daughter is in year 13, and she is not going to want to resit 2 modules along with her final ones in June, the whole point being to spread the workload Although I have to say, I wouldn't want to be out driving today, where we are we probably have around 7 -8 inches and it ain't stopping yet. Now where are my skis...I need some food and I forgot to join the panic buyers clearing the supermarkets yesterdayMarylou wrote: No doubt there will be whoops of joy at any closures this week, not so those of us who have children sitting exam modules next week as we've been told we have to foot the bill for the resits if they can't make it into school, even if the school is officially closed and there is no transport. Our snow has been here since 17th December and shows no signs of disappearing yet - it may well still be here next week, the met office say the cold is going to be around for a few weeks yet!!Looking for help wrote:
