School Uniform Fitting

Took DS to get his school uniform and PE stuff today. Decided that as he is so tiny he would need the smallest sizes and was unlikely to grow that much over the summer. Very quiet and a good time to go. Apparently, they have had a lot of small children coming in for fitting this year. My DS doesn't do sport - so when he realised he had to have a pair of football boots, shin pads and gum shield was all a bit of a shock. School blazer drowned him and even to school shops smallest blazer was a little large so will try M & S and see if we can get one that fits better.

They did say that if anything was too small by August I could go back and change it but I can imagine in the summer holidays it will be a nightmare.

Fortunately at AHS the girls do not wear blazers, plus my DD managed to fit the smallest sized uniform items. My only worry is that she'll now have a growth spurt during summer and will need the next size up!!!

May keep the lables on - just in case

I bought DS a blazer to grow into as I expected a growth spurt over the summer - he has grown steadily but the blazer is still too big - he will be going into Y8 in September as the only boy still looking like a newbie!

I was still wearing my "new" uniform in the lowersixth, my mum believed in allowing room for growth...
