Just wondering when the school knows how out DCs have done in 11 plus exams, I know it is in advance us parents being told.
Want to know when to start looking really carefully at head teachers expression when she sees me :?

oo crecheout - this is an annual game.... best to wear blinkers for a while and just dash in and out of school and don't even try to talk to the head, you will be awake all night trying to interpret startled (or not!!) looks!!

Spreadsheets of results and letters to parents are sent to the schools from Monday of next week by courier.

Usually the Head and/or another senior member of staff and one or two office staff will see the results because they have to check the list of children and then put the letters into envelopes.

My advice would be exactly as Herman has said: Avoid everyone like the plague!

Thank you Hermanmunster and Sally Anne. I am actually overseas at the moment, a business trip planned in great detail so that I absolutely could not be in school until at least Tuesday next week! Will do my best to be late over the few days I have in the UK prior to Friday so I do not have a chance to see (or look at the expressions of) anyone!!!

I'm totally lost! Letters to parents? Saying what? We don't get a letter until March 2nd do we? And I thought that was from the LEA and the allocated school?

In Bucks the results of the tests are sent out to the Primaries before being given to the parents.

Gosh! As early as next week? I know they do that in Surrey too, but I thought that happened just before March 1st.

So the Head Teachers know 3 1/2 months before the parents?

Sorry! Have just realised you are talking about the test results! I thought you were talking about school allocation and thinking I was going to have to cosy up to my dd's Head Teacher - not a pleasant task!

You need to work on this business of keeping cool, KeepCool!

The results of the Bucks 11+ tests are sent to the schools (state schools and Partner schools) on Monday for them to put in envelopes for distribution to the children (and then parents, of course) at the close of the school day on Friday 26th November. Out-of-County children not attending Partner schools have their letters posted directly to the home address first class on Friday 26th, so hopefully they will arrive on Saturday.

There is then the 3+ month wait for the school allocations on March 1st.

Edit: I have just seen your post, but I will let this stand for the benefit of others.

Better hope the Head Teacher is not suffering from wind, or there will be a lot of needless worry in Bucks. :D
