The Head has just resigned for personal reasons and new Head already in place.
If you are interested he has a very informative profile on LinkedIn.
Hopefully things will be a bit more positive now.

Many thanks Mrs Chubbs! That sounds positive. :D

Yes, I'll try tracking down the new Head.

For anyone else watching, some details here:

http://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/9070115.Misbourne_School_Headteacher_resigns/

New interim Head Robert Preston can be found on Linkedin as a "Consultant Head Teacher". Summary states:

I specialise in working as a Consultant Head Teacher in schools in challenging circumstances and in mentoring new Heads into post. I have led 4 secondary schools out of Special Measures in recent years as well as working to prepare schools for HMI and Ofsted inspections. I am currently supporting a Head in a secondary school that has just come out of SM as well as working with a Head and her leadership team in a primary and infant school in SM.
I am experienced in using and analysing data to raise standards and have been actively involved with a number of national challenge schools where I have developed RAP's, effective RAG's and strategies to raise standards with targeted groups. All these schools have continued to build on the firm foundations laid with not only improved examination results but meeting/exceeding their targets as well as much improved CVA.
My strengths are:
*knowing how to move a school forwards quickly
*motivating and inspiring teachers to raise standards
*ensuring robust systems are in place so that schools can sustain progress made in the long term
*developing senior and middle leadership teams to improve their effectiveness and cohesiveness
HMI(2009) said'the school has moved on rapidly and of central importance was the clear vision from the consultant headteacher. Staff now feel supported and are working together'.
