My DC, who attend SHF, have scrutinised the photo of the damage in the Bucks Herald. Their hope from looking at this, and the accompanying article, is that the impact on their humanities lessons will not be too bad. Classrooms are being made available by Aylesbury College, on the same site, to help out in the short term. However, the newly-decorated and refurbished canteen has also been damaged and there will be no hot meals for some time. It will clearly take months to repair the building. It is sickening, especially at the start of a new year with new year 7s in the school.

The senior leadership team have maintained a calm and efficient front throughout the day. I have no doubt that they will be doing their utmost to prevent this horrible event affecting lessons and other activities. Don't be put off visiting next week - it is a very good and very friendly school.

Oh dear, suspected arson. :(

It does look as though the school responded very well to the emergency.

Just wanted to say  about what happened and to wish all the best to SHF staff and pupils reading this. I hope everything gets back to normal for them as soon as possible - it sounds as though it's a very supportive school where everyone pulls together, so hopefully that day won't be too far off.
