Hi Sally-Anne
Do you have or know where I can find the final allocation profile for Sept 2011?
Thanks
Kiwimum

The final profile hasn't been published as far as I know. The most recent data is for May, here http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/bcc/schools/a ... files.page" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , although I think I recall that the distances given in the Secondary School brochure were from June, so they might be a little different.

Thanks Sally-Anne, I found out what I wanted to know from there.

I found the Secondary Schools Directory on there too which was different to the May profile for the school we are interested in.

I know the profile can change from year to year but I just wanted to reassure myself that I haven't put my DD on the 11+ rollercoaster for nothing - there's a chance she might enjoy the ride! :)

This may not reflect the current numbers in Y7 in some schools.

Looks like no change in DCGS allocation profile between 1st March and today's update.

It will not reflect children who got in on appeal - I had heard that one of the above stated as 'all offered' is actually over PAN.

Why wouldn't it include people who got in on appeal?

Because this could distort the distance statistics. The figures only show the distance to which allocations were made according to the oversubscription criteria in the normal course of events without reference to transfer appeals. The later versions would of course also include waiting list allocations. For example, a school could allocate places up to 10 miles and then someone living 15 miles away could win a transfer appeal, but putting this distance in would make it look as though anyone living closer than 15 miles has a good chance of getting a place, which is of course not the case.

However, I do think it would be useful to know the figures for successful transfer appeals for individual schools. This information is available, but you have to ask for it.
