Tomorrow is the day ...

... providing the postman, post office/Royal Mail do their thing ...

I called Bucks Admissions today and spoke to a lady who said she was actually holding my son's results in her hands. But we have to wait until tomorrow morning (assuming everything referred to in line 1 goes according to plan) before we know whether we will be going through two appeals (one for non qualification and one for over subscription) or just the over subscription one.

I even offered to collect them on our way to see my mother, but they are not allowed to do that.

Not sure how much more of this I can take!

It does seem silly, but I guess they don't want to set a precedent - County Hall would be besieged every November.

Fingers crossed for you and him!

I know. I wasn't sure how much begging would be acceptable in 11+ protocol ...

On the day after allocation day for us the postman OR royal mail OR even the LEA managed to not quite get it right.... turned out when I rang that they had had to post it rather late in the day - weren't quite admitting to having missed the post though  anyway they agreed to ring me up and let me now - which they did.

So if the postie doesn't appear then maybe total patheticness (and bribery with some chocs) on the phone might be worth a try tomorrow

Tomorrow (if it does not arrive) I shall try firm, followed by wimpy followed by begging. Bribery will come at the end.

I am afraid you won't have any luck. I have known people to have waited a whole week for their results letter, and when it didn't appear, BCC were absolutely intransigent about sending a fresh copy first class as being the only possible means of advising of the results.

It does seem rather outdated though - so many areas allow parents to access the results online or receive them by email.
