To parents of children taking the 11 plus 2006

Regulars will know I am a FUSSPOT on publishers stating they mirror the real NFER tests - but in reality they dont!

So.....

Current publishers that mirror The NFER, verbal reasoning, real test [ for Buckinghamshire]

Ips, Afn, Susan Daughtrey [ BUT ONLY her BRIGHT SPARKS series - NOT books 1-7]

Shop bought NFER should be used - but as they dont include types HIKNOS [ see IPS papers for clarification of these types] need to keep up practice of these types along side the shop bought NFER

And of course - when available Mike Edwards Bucks format papers

That is more than enough tests for any child to complete.

Patricia

Dear Patricia,

This nothing personal directed either towards yourself or the third party you mention, as you can see their name remains in your postings. In actual fact the same third party was invited to submit sample papers to this website but hitherto they have not delivered even though they agreed to do so.

In line with most forum's policy (see Forum Rule 4) we do not allow promotion of third party advertising particularly as many of the postings on this website are anonymous and may be self-serving promotions (could be someone posing as you). As with other websites we are unable to distinguish between genuine recommendations by members of the public or proprietors. Essentially if we allow those links the floodgates will open to everyone to post links back to their own websites or even rival websites. You will note that as a general rule we do not object to, hence permit, links to official websites such as Buckinghamshire County Council.
