Being in a catchment area has never been a promise of a place at that school - the Admissions booklet [link I posted above] makes that clear.

No, you are right that it doesn't promise, but being 'in catchment' does imply a reasonable chance

if you are in Iver Heath or thereabouts, put your postcode into the postcode checker
Used it, and yes, you are right. My son is now in year 7, we went through the parents information evening etc. and it is the first time that I hear of this...

And I agree that it is a joke if you can't get a place anyway :?
