Grammar lesson

Post by pippi »

The story relating to Highcrest banding tests which first appeared in the Bucks Free Press has been picked up by the TES and BBC eg:
http://www.tes.co.uk/article.aspx?storycode=6210916
By way of explanation BCC said:
In a statement, the council said that it had merely been pointing out that children from deprived backgrounds were more likely to be withdrawn from the test by their parents.
Do they even collect that information?

I feel sure that they must do, because I think any authority operating an opt-out system would be wanting to understand what is going on with those children/families.

It is probably analysed by postcode and then compared to ACORN data.
