Most unhelpful lady at admissions (bordering on rude  )... "must be royal mail's fault, wait until at least Friday before calling back!". Grrr....

There is now an allocation profile for the late transfers on the BCC website. Maybe this will help you work out your situation. Good luck!

found allocation profile

looks bad news for our DS unfortunately. Gutted as we always told him that things come to you if you work hard... he did, he scored 138 and still no place. :(

I am so sorry, KT. :(

It is incredibly frustrating because in January BGS was undersubscribed in every year group, but Y7 did have the highest number of pupils of any of them.

You know where Appeals is if you need us ...

Thanks S-A, you know better than anyone what we went through last year... I'm not sure I can cope with another appeal.

I'm guessing that we will receive the appeal pack info with the formal letter (whenever that comes). Are there any statistics about success at oversubscription appeal for year 8 entry? Also, will we know what number he is on the waiting list etc?

thanks

What is "rule 6" as quoted on the AHS profile? And the wording is ambiguous. Is is rule 2 (catchment) AND rule 6 to a distance of 17 miles OR is is some catchment (unspecified radius) and rule 6 (to a distance of 17 miles)?
