Herts/Bucks Border

My son is currently in Y5 at a Herts state primary, but we live just accross the border in Bucks. Our nearest secondary is in Herts (Clement Danes).

I assume he'll go thourgh the Bucks 11+ system because of our address, but although he does well at school I don't yet know how well he lis likely to do in the Bucks tests as we've only just started looking at them. Is there any point in our also looking at Herts schools and their entry requirtements? If so, how do we apply for schools in both counties?

Any experience in this area greatly appreciated!

As he does not go to a Bucks Primary you will need to register him for 11+ testing. See the Bucks website:

http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/bcc/schools/a ... hools.page" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Please note that the test will be changing next year.

Places are very hard to come by at SCD, and even local children from Chorleywood don't get in at times.

You complete the CAF for Bucks and name any schools in other counties on it. Some Herts schools may have additional application forms - SCD awards places for musical ability, for example, and there will be a separate form to apply for that.
